| I am honoured to be your incoming President of this long-standing industry organization for the upcoming year. The initiatives of this 100-year-plus organization continue to serve its membership and the BC mortgage community well. We are a community that brings together those connected in any way to the mortgage investment business in our province to share ideas, learn from industry professionals and to connect with one another to support our collective successes. The MIABC currently has over 700 individual members spread amongst over 120 member corporations. This is your association, continue to support it in any way that you can. Like any organization, you get out of it what you put in. The Board of Directors for the MIABC is again a wonderful group of individuals from across all facets of our industry to bring you luncheons and social events to connect and learn. This group of volunteer board members has a few new directors this year as well as some with over 30 years as part of the MIABC. This group works hard for the MIABC members to keep us relevant, informed and engaged. We also continue to be very supportive of those in our community that are less fortunate than ourselves and are very proud of the MIABC membership that supports the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and the Surrey Food Bank. We also have an eye into the future and have initiated scholarships for university students studying in the area of business. Thank you for supporting MIABC and I will feed off your energy to help lead this storied association next year. Please continue to engage with us!
